He earned his Bachelor of Science from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. Alan is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and California. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, DC Chapter. In 2018, he was recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers in Immigration Law by the Association of American Trial Lawyers.

Alan has represented clients before local state juvenile courts, immigration courts, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. His practice focuses on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, asylum and other fear-based relief, U visas, T visas, naturalization, family-based petitions, waivers of inadmissibility, bond proceedings, and deportation defense, among other areas of immigration law.
